From Enquiry To A Defined Scope
Start with the site location, drawings and intended use. We use that information to identify the service required and the questions that affect a workable quotation.
Your enquiry may be passed to a suitable local firm with your agreement. The proposed firm should confirm its scope, competence, relevant evidence and commercial terms directly before you place an order.
Design Responsibilities Stay Clear
Structural calculations, connection design, surveys and installation planning must have agreed owners. Manufacture should follow approved drawings with a clear revision, rather than assumptions made to fill a gap.
For machinery-related work, the equipment owner needs to consider safe use and any effect on guarding, isolation or maintenance access. A replacement part should be assessed in the context of the working equipment.
Standards Follow The Work
Structural components may require BS EN 1090 conformity and execution evidence. Stairs and guarding need a design that considers the relevant building guidance, including Approved Document K in England.
Construction activity should be coordinated under CDM 2015, and welding needs suitable fume controls under COSHH. Requirements and supplier documentation should be checked for the actual project before an order is placed.
A Useful Handover
Agree the records you need at the start. These may include approved fabrication drawings, inspection information, relevant product declarations, finish details and maintenance guidance.
